Need help with your chart creation? Don’t have the time for a general two-hour training session? Let the OrgPlus ChartDoctors be your personal guides!
During my many years of supporting OrgPlus, there has always been a need from customers to have their charts professionally created, and receive personalized, one-on-one support. OrgPlus ChartDoctors (previously known as Chart Assistance) is a great option for OrgPlus Standard and Professional users who want an expert to walk them personally through specific features relative to their unique company environments and data.
Additionally, the OrgPlus ChartDoctors can tweak your existing charts or create new ones that meet your criteria and requirements, all while keeping it aesthetically pleasing and professional. For pricing and availability, ask your account manager or an OrgPlus Technical Support Representative (your “ChartDoctor”) at 888-821-1261. We have also added the option of purchasing five or ten hour blocks of this service at a discounted rate.

I highly recommend adding a support and maintenance plan to your OrgPlus purchase. In my opinion, the best benefit of this plan is being able to upgrade, at no additional cost, when OrgPlus issues a new release. For example, if you have OrgPlus 7 Professional 100 and version 8 is released, you can move to OrgPlus 8 Professional 100 at no charge. You also have free access to the tech support team for software related problems. This means that if you have technical issues with OrgPlus, our team will assist you in correcting the problem. Single Sign On (SSO) is a method of passing credentials into OrgPlus Enterprise (OPE) from a chosen security adapter inside the Admin panel of OPE. An example is the Generic Adapter SSO which passes security information into OPE through a URL. Credentials are cached in OPE until the user’s session has ended. The session will end when one of the following events occur:
- Select ‘Sign Out.’
- Close the Browser completely (if on OPE 3.3 or above).
- The session ends after the “Idle Timeout” period has passed. This setting is located in the Application Pool under the ‘Performance’ tab in Internet Information Services.

When it comes to best practices for using OrgPlus Enterprise, we recommend onsite training so organizations can take full advantage of the solution. Training ensures that OrgPlus Enterprise is being used correctly and helps the user avoid time intensive calls into our Technical Service Department. HumanConcepts offers two courses: Admin Training 1 and Admin Training 2. Each course is 4 hours in length with 45 minutes of hands-on exercises. (more…)

One of the most common questions during the OrgPlus Enterprise implementation process is, “How does OrgPlus determine the Manager?” I am usually asked this question when the customer is reviewing their Orphans in the Directory. They are surprised to see how many orphans exist in their data source and would like to know how to correct them. As a Professional Services consultant for HumanConcepts, my team works with the customer to define best practices and prepare their data source to accurately chart their organizational structure. Many times the customer wants their Organization Chart to display and format features that may not be consistent with their reporting relationship structure. We review their data source and provide recommendations on how to achieve their desired results. (more…)

Recently, I have begun to notice that some of our customers are using OrgPlus, not just for charting employees, but also in very unique ways. I’ve heard it all from charting Cost Centers to charting license plate numbers to creating nametags for conventions. Our customers are pushing OrgPlus to new extremes. I’ve heard customers say that they pull information from up to seven different systems and have over thirteen different views, within OrgPlus Enterprise, showing different sections of information such as span of control, headcount and salary. I am continually astounded by the new and unique ways our customers utilize the solution. We are always looking for these different use cases for OrgPlus. I would love to hear about them. Please email me at haylee.freeman@humanconcepts.com and let me know how you use OrgPlus that is out of the ordinary.
